Publisher's Synopsis
Lama Tsongkhapa compressed all his vast knowledge of Buddhism into this famous work on the three principal aspects of the path - renunciation, Bodhicitta and the correct view of emptiness - interpreted here by the incomparable Pabongka Rinpoche.

Tsongkhapa was one of the greatest yogi/scholars in the history of Buddhism and he founded the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. He wrote some 10,000 pages in eloquent explanation of the entire range of the ancient Buddhist classics. He undertook the challenge of summarizing all of the entire teachings of Buddhism into a single poem and the result was the fourteen verses of this profound text.

"Those who are not attached to the pleasures of circling [samsara],
Who strive to make freedom and endowments meaningful,
Who entrust themselves to the path pleasing the Victorious Ones –
You fortunate ones: listen with a calm mind."
